Hello, dear reader, whoever you might be. This is my blog 6, and I hope you enjoy it(or don’t, both are okay). Since vlog 5, some things have happened. We started researching our mashup essay, and I had a meeting with Missy, which was really helpful in developing my essay. Other than that, I locked in again, so no more slacking. I think because my work has a break and I have the next 5 weeks off work I can focus more on important things like my social life and of course schoolwork. I have been getting back into working out slowly and I already see my old progress coming back. One important thing is that being 17 in college absolutely sucks because all the fun parties where my friends are going are 18+ and i can’t get into any of them 🙁 . so that’s everything that’s happened since last time. see you soon!
weekly Blog #4
since the last blog, a lot has happened. both good and bad. I am not complaining though, good days create memories and bad days create lessons I can learn from. I was buried in classwork and that resulted in missing one of the green assignments for this class. fortunately, my understanding professors pushed the deadline for me (thank youuuuu). I also had work and I don’t know what happened, but a lot of people were angry and had to call my manager quite a few times, one customer even called me a slur and had to be escorted out by security which took a toll on my mental health but it’s okay. I also got back to the gym and set a new goal to cut down to 180 lbs so I can be healthier. other than that it has been all right, the presentations went well and I had a lot of feedback which I could learn from.
plog 9/17
hello! This is my second vlog post, and I am writing about the things that happened during the previous week. it was an alright week, other than the fact I had to do a project for an art class. now I am not saying the class or the professor is bad itself I am not really an art guy. I had to go to the Metropolitan Museum to look at different types of artworks and write mini-essays about each one of them. it was pretty tiring. usually, when I go to the MET museum I relax and try to appreciate the different artworks that I like but this time I went purely to do homework which was NOT FUN. On the weekends I had to work which was not fun either but we couldn’t have all good weeks. good with the bad you know. I am not complaining though. good days leave good memories but days leave lessons you can learn from.
blog one
for the past week, I’ve been engaged in classes and I’ve found a lot of things interesting and a lot has happened to me too. I found rhetoric really interesting and I also learned a lot about digital literacy and thought about if i am digitally literate or not. a lot has happened to me in the past week and it took a lot to adjust to classes and everything in general. The reading i found the most interesting and relatable was the reading by amy tan called mother tongue. It reflected my life after coming here perfectly and made me see my parents in a different way and it made me value them more. I looked at their English as broken and was embarrassed when they talked before but the reading made me see that they are as valid and intellectual as everyone else and it changed my perspective.
heyyyyyyy everyone!
